Refund policy

The short version

Last-minute cancellations are not refundable, but we will always send you a discount code so the money is not lost. If you cannot come because of illness and have a medical document, we offer you a free ticket for one of our upcoming events of your choice. See the details below.

Medical exception

We understand that life happens. If you are unable to attend due to a medical emergency or illness, we will offer you a free ticket for one of our upcoming events of your choice. To request it, send the following to contact@meltingplot.events at least 48 hours before the event:

  • -Your order number (found in your confirmation email)
  • -Your full name
  • -A medical certificate or supporting document from a doctor

Once approved, you choose any upcoming Melting Plot event and your free ticket is waiting for you. Requests submitted less than 48 hours before the event, or without supporting documentation, will not be accepted.

Something came up last minute

We get it, life happens. If you can no longer make it, cancel your ticket from your account page before the event. No cash refund will be issued, but we will automatically send you a 35% discount code for any future Melting Plot event. Your evening is not lost.

This also frees up your spot for someone on the waitlist, which makes a real difference. The code is valid for one use on any upcoming event and arrives in your inbox immediately after cancellation.

If we cancel an event

In the unlikely event that Melting Plot cancels an edition, all ticket holders will be notified by email and offered a full refund. Refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days to the original payment method.

How refunds are processed

Cash refunds only apply when Melting Plot cancels an event. In that case the amount is returned to the card used at checkout via Stripe and you will receive a confirmation email when the refund is issued. Depending on your bank, the amount may take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.

If you have not received your refund after 10 business days, please contact your bank before reaching out to us. We have no control over your bank processing times.
